Cloud Atlas

Film concept art.
When the Wachowski brothers make a film everyone takes notice. The style and complexity of their films has always captured the minds of fans and critiques alike. The Wachowski's latest film is no different. Titled Cloud Atlas, starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, this may be the most exspanive and imaginitive piece the Wachowski's have put together (the film is also directed in-part by Tom Tykwer).

Below is the visually-packed 5 minute international trailer for the film. Based on the novel of the same name, written by Davic Mitchell, the film explores how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present, and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.

The trailer appears to be everything you'd expect from the Wachowski brothers. Mind-boggling fantasy elements expertly fashioned into real-life drama and a form of storytelling altogether unique and original. Hopefully a shortened and more focused US trailer will surface soon so we can pick out more details; for now this will due.

Cloud Atlas is slated for a late 2012 release.
