Destinée, from Cartier, is a very interesting film. In all honesty its really a 5 minute long advertisement from the luxury jeweler. It just doesn't feel like one. We've covered several of Cartier's films/advertisements here on Through the Lens and this one, like the others, shows Cartier's dedication to its clientele. So much attention and care is put into their products that it's no wonder the same care and attention spills over into how they advertise themselves. Destinée captures the essence of love. It's a short film and arguably a needless one, but we appreciate the effort Cartier goes through to communicate with their fans. Cartier never settles; whether it be in advertisement or crafting the finest jewelry and timepieces in the world. Enjoy the film below.
