Project Imagintion, a collaboration between Canon and Ron Howard, is the first ever user-generated photo contest that invited consumers to inspire a Hollywood production. Ron Howard chose the winning 8 photographs, setting the stage for his latest production When You Find Me.
Directed by Ron's daughter Bryce Dallas Howard, the film is about two sisters who lose their mother at a young age and how that loss effects them throughout the rest of their lives. The film is pretty moving. The Howard's did an excellent job weaving together intelligent writing with some beautiful imagery. What is particularly cool about the film is seeing the photographs that inspired the film and how they were translated over into the picture. Check out the short film below and be sure to stick around for the credits to see the original photographs.
