Pieces of Uruguay

The work contained in this article is from Spanish artist David De La Maoo. His work features strong monochromatic designs. The majority of David's work is street art, found scattered around the streets of Uruguay. What's unique about David's art is that it looks like it belongs on canvas. It's abstract in nature and all the pieces point to a much larger picture as opposed to more in-your-face street art like Shepard Fairy's or Banksy's.

Each of David's paintings feature a similar subject. Whether it be a stark black or white figure they're usually  digging, fighting, or searching; for something. What that something is remains unclear, but then again the concept kind of resembles our lives and perhaps this is the artist's point.
