With the success of the original (foreign version) of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, a few foreign film directors are beginning to test their luck with the US film market.
The most promising of these foreign films is director Morten Tyldum's Headhunters. A thriller that just happens to be produced by the same team that produced the original Millennium Trilogy (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo films).
The film sees an accomplished thief risk everything to obtain a valuable painting owned by a former mercenary. The films direction and pacing are top notch, and if the original GWTDT films taugh us anything its that these guys know how to handle a novel to movie translation - Headhunters was also a popular novel before becoming a film, much like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
The movie hits American theaters in a little over a week. If you're lucky enough to have it come to a theater near you, you'll want to spend the money to see it. Check out the US trailer below.
