"Human beings in a mob.
What's a mob to a king? What's a king to a God?
What's a God to a non-believer, who don't believe in anything?
Will he make it out alive? Alright, alright, no church in the wild"
The first track off of Jay-Z and Kanye West's album - Watch the Throne - finally gets a music video. The track, 'No Church in the Wild,' is a favored track among many fans, and a music video has been clamored after for awhile now.
The video is spectacular, which isn't very surprising (its directed by Romain Gervais). The one thing that is surprising though, is the lack of any appearance by either Jay-Z or Kanye West in the video. Because of this, the video comes off more as a short film than an actual music video --- but that's not necessarily a bad thing. With scenes depicting social unrest, riots, violence and anarchy, the video artfully captures the tone and theme of the song. Scenes of chaos interplay with visuals of statues of Roman Gods and some spectacular light-work. But you don't really need us to tell you how awesome it is....
