Taking a break from The Greatest Rapper Never album series, Philly-based rapper Dice Raw has teamed up with DJ Drama to drop off a mixtape version of the series.
The Mixtapes Vol. 1 is solid effort from Dice. Bouncing around from tales of personal experiences, love lost, to things-you-don't-mention going down in Philadelphia, Dice Raw carefully crafts a mixtape that is not only enjoyable, but damn well put together. Dice seems to hit on a much realer level than many rappers these days. Tracks like "Rear Window," "Bloody Mary," and "Dining Alone" are the releases best tracks and alone deserve a lot of airtime. The Mixtapes Vol. 1 is a solid release and should be in everyone's collection -- besides what beats free?
